Currently listening to Britten's Ceremony of Carols.

Love Handel's Messiah, Bach's Christmas Oratorio and the Hely-Hutchinson Carol Symphony.

Wondered if people could post some more recommendations for Christmassy classical music?

A bit niche but Dan Forrest does some stunning arrangements of traditional carols (choir plus orchestra).

Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker
Prokofiev - Troika

Do you listen to Radio 3? If not, try there for some new ideas.

Thank you both

Rimsky Korsakovs Christmas Eve Suite

Corelli Christmas Concerto (especially the gorgeous Pastorale)

Liszt's Christmas Tree Suite

Mozart's Sleigh Ride

Saint Saens Oratorio de Noel

Poulenc's Quatre Motets (so very atmospheric and always makes me wish I could sing)

Blake's Snowman Suite (we have to play this every year according to DD!)

Classic FM is amazing in the run up to Christmas. I think they might even have a special Christmas channel online too.

Hodie by Ralph Vaughn Williams,

The Christmas story Heinrich Schutz (bit of an acquired taste this one though...)
