Hey guys.

My DS is 17 months so this is his 1st Christmas where he can get involved and isn't just sleeping/feeding all day.

I'm now wondering whether I should buy DP (his dad) anything from him.

What do you even get from a toddler to their dad?!

Also aware I've left it quite late oops.

Last year I got a photo calendar with pics of DS in so I could re-create that idea although not sure I have time for that to be delivered before Xmas. DP already has a picture of DS in his wallet too that I got him for his birthday and some socks that say dad on too. I'm stumped!

Thanks guys!

I've got the him a keyring with a photo of them engraved on it but not sure that it would arrive quickly enough for you now! it was from ESTY! Last year I got him a rum glass saying Daddy's Rum Glass lol! To be fair ANYTHING you have bought your DP just wrap something up from the baby! It's only a sentiment! Or his favourite chocolate bar maybe! I wouldn't overthink it 😊

Make a hand print picture if you have time. Lots of Christmassy ideas online, or just do colourful.hand prints on paper and put it in a frame.

Oooh chocolate or something Crafty is a great idea actually! Thank you guys! I was going to get DP some chocolate Stocking filler type gifts anyways so will mark them as from DS and will get some Crafty stuff done tonight whilst DP is at work. Thank you guys!!

Personally I think it's pointless to buy something from them at that point, I'd wait until they're walking around the shop with you choosing, maybe around three. But I don't do gifts from kids unless they were actually heavily involved.

But you could get him to do some homemade art.

Dgs now three chooses things for us. He's actually quite perceptive so he bought me a robin bauble for my tree as he obviously noticed I have various bird ornaments and artwork round the house. He bought ds a big tin of Viscount biscuits as he saw him eating one at his house and he bought Grandad socks with dogs on because he has never forgotten the time he saw he had a hole in one of his and he knows Grandad loves his dog. He bought dd a Pokemon pencil case because they draw together when he comes here and he knows she plays Pokemon on the Switch

Mine will be 16 months 2 days after Christmas and I'll be starting gifts from him next year by taking him to poundland and letting him choose something for everyone. I do crafts and calenders for grandparents now but don't consider them gifts from his as he didn't choose them 🤷‍♀️
