So I made the mistake of asking people (who haven't had Christmas dinner at mine before) what Made A Christmas Dinner for them. I got the usual answers- pigs in blankets, chestnuts with the sprouts, sackloads of roast potatoes etc etc. All fine.
Then one person started waxing lyrical about roasted pickled onions. I asked if they meant roasted pickling onions, but they were adamant that it was the onions from a jar.
I decided that I could probably manage this, but I can't find any details on The Google. Has anyone done this? Is it A Thing?
How do I do it? Just drain the onions and throw them in a roasting tin?
Frankly I think it sounds a bit yeuch but I have the onions so am willing to give it a go.
Any and all advice welcome!
