Baby's first christmas

Hi everyone,
This will be my little ones first christmas and I was wondering what are your favourite christmas traditions?
It was always a pretty miserable affair in my house growing up so I'd love some ideas to do with him every christmas!

There's not too much that a >1 yo will understand - things they may enjoy now which could become part of your 'tradition' might be taking them outside to see the lights in the neighbourhood and singing Christmas songs/carols

My little one was just under 4 months old last year and we made cookies for santa (I sat him up and gave him the spoon to 'stir' then when they were ready I have him the spoon to put icing on and let him drop some in the bowl. We also went to see Santa and went on a light walk.
