My chap (can't call him boyfriend at our ages, and we don't live together, so MN tends to frown on using the term partner ...) anyway, he has everything, and if he doesn't, and wants it, he'll buy it. Every Christmas and birthday I struggle to know what to get him.

I've got his presents for this year (well, one is stuck in the post, but that's out of my control), but I'd love some ideas for his birthday and Christmas next year. He likes chocolate, cars, cats, Star Wars ....

He also quite likes gadgety /toy things. One year he bought his adult step son nerf guns so they could play ...

Any ideas welcome!

Thank you! Have bookmarked those sites. I'm wondering about a drone 🤔 it's a possible. Might have to sound him out a bit ...

Sainsburys have Star Wars socks, if you're looking for small things - and IIRC Yoda Christmas jumpers.

You can usually get Star Wars tree baubles (official ones are a bit ££, but there are loads of unofficial ones too)

There are also light sabres, of various quality and price points - get two and learn to fight: silver-sabres.com/ do light sabre lessons (London based, but do events round the country)

I don't know who does their delivery, but forbiddenplanet.com/ is worth a browse

Tickets to Comicon?

I don’t know what your budget is but there’s some amazing Star Wars Lego.

TheOpportuneMoment · 17/12/2022 14:53

I've got this for DH - also a Star Wars fan - this year as a stocking filler. Paper aeroplanes are fun at any age right?

He'd love that!

He's not into Lego, unfortunately.

I have just bought a chocolate watch, and ray bans, from here for my dad. They had a stand at Meadowhall with loads to look at. Can't comment on taste, as it's obviously not been eaten yet, but they look fab & I thought were not bad prices (£15.99 for the glasses and watch gift box on there, think I paid slightly less but not 100% sure without checking my receipt).

SilentHedges · 17/12/2022 21:50

My boyfriend and I solved the problem of what to get each other at Christmas about 10 years ago. Nothing. When you're adults, with your own money, it's so much easier. We do buy for birthdays though as that's an individually special day.

Lightsaber barbecue tongs are good fun

My DH is a huge SW fan.

Banbury Museum currently has a Star Wars vintage toys and posters exhibition; I believe it travels around the country exhibiting.

There is loads of SW stuff online such as Truffle Shuffle, Amazon, Etsy, MenKind, Disney etc. DH isn’t into ‘stuff’ but he likes SW notebooks, keyring, Lego, the socks from Sainsburys TU, the Darth Vader pen holder, Stormtrooper pen holder cup, mug for work use.

Displate has metal posters which are a bit different

Tilllly · 17/12/2022 23:16

What about an experience?
Racing car, plane, feeding penguins?

MenaiMna · 17/12/2022 23:21

Star wars shower curtain and hooks

He regularly races cars, so not really a gift!

He has a million mugs, people buy them for him all the time, I got him a Star Wars one a couple of years ago, but it's just added to the cupboard lol

Keyrings he doesn't use and house stuff (art, posters, shower curtains) is also not his thing. He would buy his own pictures for his wall (which I understand as I'm fussy about that sort of thing, too). He doesn't need a shower curtain, do people still have them, and not screens?

He is very hard to buy for 🙄

He is very generous to me, and I think I must give him a lot of hints during the year (not deliberately!), as he gets me very well thought out, lovely presents.

How about tickets for the Star Wars Celebration 2023 in London? It’s on in April.

Madame Tussaud’s also have a SW experience.

HeyyyMrNoodle · 18/12/2022 09:29

Not read the whole thread so this might have already been suggested but tickets to see one of the star wars in concert shows! It's where they play the film but the score is done live by an orchestra! It's on my list of things to get for my husband

Another possibility! I think experiences might be best, actually.
