Spiral binder for five year old

Sudden brainwave for my hard-to-buy-for daughter who would love to be able to make her own notebooks. Can a five year old use a spiral binder with a little help? Are some types easier to use than others and if so, how do you tell? Very grateful for any help.

Not sure but Smyths have various make your own scrapbook things:

You can get the type with a lever to open and close the binder bit.

Thanks for the suggestions! I just went to look at one in person and I think she won’t manage to use it at all, and also she will get through the bindings too fast as she’s all about quantity over quality. Instead I’ve got her a ream of coloured paper and those hard plastic spines you can slide papers into, plus a few more decorating options.
It’s a shame as I quite fancied a go after she goes to bed but there’s always next year.
