I wanted to donate a couple of toys for families that are struggling this Christmas. I googled and there were local churches etc collecting but a lot seemed to have finished collecting already (it must take time to sort the donations). So I found the Lidl appeal. Can't do links on my phone, but Google the above. Apparently there is a collection box in every Lidl store, but if you are interested the last day is tomorrow December 16th.
I really enjoyed choosing toys too, as there are not many kids in the extended family and it doesn't look like I'll be getting grandkids any time soon /ever! I used to love Christmas shopping when DC was younger.
I was surprised that Amazon aren't doing anything though, they have the resources and millions of customers. Would have been positive publicity for them too. Shame.
There are so many people struggling this winter I just thought it was a nice thing.
