Transformers for 5 year old

Can anyone recommend any good transformers toys for 5 year olds. Smyths and Argos don't seem to stock many and Amazon have a load of off brand ones which I'm not sure about. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Transformers can be very difficult to actually transform. So I'd look for the one's that are only one or two step for a 5yr old

My ds is coming up 5 and he likes the playskool rescue bots and they do various ones. Symths is the best place for them, Amazon charge high prices, might not be what you're looking for. Also b&m had some in there although not the best quality.

Home bargains and tk maxx I've seen the transformers too which are quite large for around £10-12

The definitely the rescue bots for that age. I spotted some in home bargains yesterday and commented to DW how we had to get them all online / from smyths and they seem

Is it any sort of transformer toy? Vtech switch n go dinos have lasted well here. They make noise but have an off switch.

Rescue bots and the v tech dinosaurs have been a hit here too. DS is 5 and has been playing with them over a year. If you want other toys that transform that aren't specifically transformers you could also look at superwings or robocar poli. Think we got the poli toys on Amazon but the superwings are in smyths etc
