Mini smarties in boxes

I am trying to track down the fun size smarties that come in little boxes. I like to wrap them like tiny presents to hang on the tree. Has anyone seen them this year? I have a Waitrose and Morrisons nearby, but can pop to asda, Tesco or Sainsbury's.
Or maybe somewhere else? Iceland?
Thank you Smile

Bugger, was really hoping someone would have found them when I opened the thread! We always used to have them on the tree at Xmas, tucked in and hidden, and every so often we'd be allowed to go looking for one and have it as desert.

If not, look in the bakimg aisles, something like these?

I got them in Sainsburys a few months ago. Haven't looked recently though.

Those mini kinder hippos would look cute.

Thank you so much for this link! Fantastic prices for coffee capsules.

You could always make wee origami boxes/parcels. Hunners of YouTube videos to choose from.

QuestionsFromThePublic · 15/12/2022 00:34

They are in appear bags now. I got some in co-op for decorating fairy cakes two weeks ago.

I loved the little boxes. Reminds me when the DC were little.

Buy the raisins.empty into a jar to use at your leisure.buy multipack of Smarties and empty them into the raisins boxes.
You can by mini boxes on Amazon.ive done that before.

Jaybird43 · 15/12/2022 06:32

Aldi or Lidl? I’m sure o saw some in there not long ago.

Lookingbackatme · 15/12/2022 07:09

I bought these in Lidl once but it was a couple of years back I think.

Theopossumwasmeantforme · 15/12/2022 07:42

This possibly shows how daft my family is, but I thought you wanted empty boxes! We used to have empty boxes wrapped on the tree 😂

Agree maybe raisins wasn't the best idea!

LubaLuca · 15/12/2022 07:48

This has taken me straight back to a very long time ago (a moment I'd forgotten about), being allowed to take a little parcel from a friend's Christmas tree, and it was a wrapped box of Smarties. So magical 😊

Pinkglittery · 15/12/2022 07:54

You can get really cheap little boxes from amazon etc, the kind you'd use to put sugared almonds in for wedding favours. They come with little ribbons so you wouldn't have to wrap either, just fold, fill with whatever and hang by the bow.

TruJay · 15/12/2022 08:01

This made me realise that I haven’t seen the little smarties boxes in years.
For the above suggestion of Poppets, I found some in home bargains less than a week ago. If you have one near you. Boxes are bigger than the smarties ones but could still work. They also have candy cigarettes too.

MsDastardley · 15/12/2022 08:18

I used to put a piece of thread trough a celebration using a needle, then hang on Christmas tree

Spanglybangles · 15/12/2022 08:48

You get little boxes of mini jellybeans, my son got some in his Halloween bucket this year from someone. Same size as the mini smartie boxes.

mychildrenarealiens · 15/12/2022 14:21

Are you near a Flying Tiger?
They have these mini jelly beans in boxes a similar size to smarties.
I buy them to put in DCs stockings.

Oh. I might be able to get to flying tiger next week. I wonder how busy it'll be! Grin

They changed the packaging. They are now in paper packets, they are in asda at the confectionery aisle 5 for £1.. or something like that
