Your Single Christmas

I'm single 2 years after a big break up and this year is the first one where I feel back to myself

I'm keen to embrace it and make new lovely memories and traditions

If you are single - what do you do to make it fabulous?

I have one family member who I will spend the day with- but other than that I want fabulous, marvellous ways to embrace it

Think Sex and the City style Christmas!

I've been single for ages so it's no different to me really and I rarely get down about it, if at all now but you could -

Have all your fav films/box sets that your ex would never have watched ready to watch in your comfiest jammies, candles on, snacks in etc.

Eat all the food and drink all the drink you want without judgment or compromise.

Write down everything positive that has happened over the year and positive things that are going to happen/want to happen. Think about any hobbies you want to take up.

Make time for other single friends. A lot of people find this time difficult.

Book a solo holiday! I highly recommend them.

I'm going to take my own advice and do these!

Some nice ideas here - I am not sad or finding it difficult (I did last year) but this year I am feeling happy and ready to rebuild so I want a fantastic festive single Christmas

Maybe I need to book a flight to New York :)

Would you be into something like parkrun - there's often an extra parkrun at 9am on Christmas Day. You can either attend and run/walk it, or offer to volunteer and marshal on the course cheering people on, and that way you get to spend some time outdoors in the morning with other people doing an activity together. Everyone is extra friendly and chatty on Christmas morning, people wear fancy dress sometimes or Christmas hats/tinsel and things.

I'm actually going to be with family on Christmas Day , love the idea of getting fun things booked in too

I usually go on a holiday with G-Adventures! Been all over the world and always have an absolute blast. From Tanzania to Nepal! Not sure how old you are? G Adventures good for late 20s- 40s. Decided to stay home this year and have been seeing someone but I think we'll go together somewhere next year if it works out. I've never liked Christmas much.
