gift for teachers/TAs

Class whatsapp group trying to decide how to split the collection between teachers & TA. Most have suggested 100 for teachers, 50 for TA. Would it not be more reasonable to make it equitable between teachers and TAs as all of them are in the classroom teaching the kids. What are other people's schools doing?

There’s always a debate over this. Absolutely don’t leave out the TA as they work so hard too for far less pay. I remember one year teacher getting £150 and they gave TA a £5 plant, I didn’t join in after that. I’d say the split pot is kinder.

I organise the class collection and we split evenly between the teachers and the TA - I think it's rude to the TA not to, however the other class are giving half as much to their TA as the teacher - that's being organised by a parent who happens to be a teacher (not at the school in question)
