Secret Santa

My DH has asked if I can sort his secret Santa gift out for his work (he was stressing so I offered and he took up the offer) and now I'm stressing!

Woman is early 30's, doesn't drink, is on a diet due to a need for surgery and likes horses. Yep that is literally all I have to go on.

Booze or chocolate would be my normal go to but can't do either of them. Any fun ideas?

What budget?

Emmalou0607 · 11/12/2022 23:02

£10-£15. Sorry I knew I'd forget something!

Scented candle, Perfume (Zara, M&S, H&M do nice cheap ones), skincare/bath products, hot drinks (whittard tea/coffee)

I would say Etsy for 'unique' horse-themed stationery - pens etc. but with the post as it is at the moment it might not arrive in time. What about a horse calendar and note book - plenty of options on Amazon? If she likes horse-racing you could get a voucher for your local race-course.

My favourite ever secret Santa was a lovely scarf. It's a woollen one for winter and I use it everyday when the weather gets cold.

Nice gloves is another idea.

Emmalou0607 · 11/12/2022 23:22

@PlaitBilledDuckyPuss that's a very good idea, just had a quick browse through and there's some good things! They work in an office so stationary type things are always useful too! Thanks ☺️

Smelly candle or socks. You can't go wrong with socks.

Cas112 · 11/12/2022 23:37

A nice pair of gloves

MissPoldark · 11/12/2022 23:37

personally I really don’t like scented candles. How about a nice candle/tea light holder instead. Recipient can then use LED tea lights/candles.

stationery/notebooks - good.
Socks-fine. maybe some nice boot or welly socks

Smellies- usually find most people a bit fussy unless it’s just hand wash & handcream

to add a few ideas…

hot water bottle
travel coffee cup
thermal top if rough idea of size (e.g M&S)
Silk eye mask

Not horse stuff!

A couple of beautiful glass Christmas baubles

Nice notebooks

A houseplant

Newuser82 · 12/12/2022 08:38

Does she own horses or just like them? If owns then some nice riding gloves?

mam0918 · 12/12/2022 10:08

Something like this?

very pretty and unoffensive, horsey but not linked to riding/owning etc...

stuntbubbles · 12/12/2022 10:24

Jilly Cooper horsey novels

ShandaLear · 12/12/2022 10:25

Nice socks or anything else from Joules - that’s quite a horsey shop.

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 12/12/2022 10:26

A hand painted horseshoe.

Bought. I’m not suggesting you paint it yourself.
