Help me!!! Please.

my daughter asked for a “singing santa Christmas” last year and I bought her this from Aldi. It dances and plays “Santa Claus is coming to town”.

it was her favourite present by a mile. She danced around it most of Christmas Day then took to sleeping with it in her bed. Then she took it to nursery and a friend dropped it and it broke. 😩

Her letter to Santa this year asked for another one and apologised for breaking the last one. It’s the only thing she wants. I’ve searched everywhere and can’t find one the same (she’s autistic so a different one will not do). She’s 4 and really believes Father Christmas is magical so it will break her heart if I can’t find a way to replace him!

I have taken him to a repair café and a friend who is an electrician and they can’t fix him. 😔 Circuit board bust, apparently.

So my Christmas plea is that please, please if anybody owns one of these, can I buy it from you? I am hoping thay by a miracle a mumsnetter might have one they are prepared to part with to make DD’s Christmas wish come true.

Long shot might be if you contact Aldi and see if they have a way of sourcing one - maybe contact them through any of their social media pages as companies seem to work harder to help if it’s seen publicly.

I know it's not quite the same but could you add a handwritten note from FC saying that the elves have made new ones this year and they liked this one the best which is why she's getting it?

Getting the one from vinted and adding the gift is a great idea. Just wanted to say I totally understand. When my son who is also autistic was little he wanted a specific 'Barney' and his firm belief in santa
meant that this was totally possible. Added to that his autism which meant it had to be exactly right. Also my son was born in 2003 and Barney was long gone by the time he was 6 meaning I spent hours on ebay looking for preloved Barneys until I found one - you have my total sympathy.

Just in case it is useful, my local Post Office is advising that Special Delivery is the only guaranteed method of posting to arrive before Christmas - full post bags are not all being collected as they are just building up and up - and Special is getting priority
