And that's ok.

Have a quieter Christmas with fewer frills, put lights or baubles on the tree first - it doesn't really matter. Put tinsel in the bin where it belongs.

Twinkly lights, warm clothes, snuggle on the sofa watching Hellraiser!

Trying your best to feel festive is like trying to force a fart - it'll come out shit 😀

Christmases change over time. Get out some old photos (flick through Google pics?) at Christmases past. You may find in 5-10 years you'll have grandchildren and it'll all be magically sparkly again.

Between the ages of 14-36, my Christmases sucked. Now they're nice again, but mostly I look forward to three weeks off work and school.

Thanks
Have pulled myself together a bit

It's still rubbish but hey-ho!

You’re doing better than us. No tree, no indoor decorations up yet, just one string of outside lights.

really not feeling at all festive this year.

I will force myself to get a tree sorted next weekend

We haven’t done anything yet, have had this awful non-flu virus for the last 2 weeks, so no decorations up, no presents bought, no food ordered!

I'm sorry but that had me lol! Xmas Grin Must remember that one. Xmas Grin
Op, I hear you. I love Christmas. I've had my decs up since November, pressies bought wrapped and under the tree for weeks, most of the food shopping done, But, this year I'm just not feeling it. Xmas Sad I don't know why. I've watched more Christmas specials than you can wave a stick at, but nada.

This was me last year. I hadn't put my tree up till like 16th December.
This year my mum and OH have had that flu/cold that's going around. I had it a couple of weeks ago and felt drained from it. I ended up on steroids from the doctor. However, I've got my tree up this year earlier, nearly finished present shopping and started my luxuries for the Xmas cupboard. I'm going with the flow which is all any of us can do, so don't be too hard yourself.

You don’t have to put up a tree or decorations at all if you don’t want to, it’s not obligatory 😊
