Help to find mythical thick blue jumper for DH

I am trying to find DH a cosy / chunky blue jumper. Size medium. Under £100. That can be machine washed.

Seems like a simple enough request, but I am starting to think it's mythical! All I can find are thin (next), need handwashing (M&S), or cost a bomb! (Toast!)

Please can anyone help, as I am running out of time now and have become jumper blind. 🎅

Woolovers do various chunky wool jumpers that machine wash - dh has a few of them.

I second woolovers, DH has two of the blue aran sweaters, I machine wash them.

Have you had a look at Barbour?

But you can machine wash hand-wash jumpers...

I use the Wool wash on my machine to wash merino wool, cashmere and wool and nothings shrunk yet.

COS have some lovely jumpers for men.

'Thick' and 'machine washable' is tricky. Uniqlo 'souffle' ones perhaps?

This beast will be warm, thick and squashy and £100, but 100% wool - you would want to wash it as rarely as possible and on the 'wool' setting.

Bit over budget but it's lovely

DH has a woolly (not sure of wool percentage but quite high) zip-up cardigan which is supposed to be handwash but does ok on machine’s wool wash programme.
It’s also done a dry clean only cashmere sweater successfully.

And it says hand wash (not just dry clean) - IME a machine wool wash is actually better than hand because it’s mostly soaking, minimal agitation & potential stretching, and spinning minimises any distortion compared to wringing/squeezing.

Agree - I'm a hand knitter and take 'hand wash only' with a few pinches of salt. Machine wool wash (not delicates - must be the wool programme) hasn't shrunk any of my jumpers yet.

Also would add that every man looks 100% handsomer in a gansey - rugged seafarer energy.

Woolovers also a favourite here. DH has two of their navy blue arans and trey machine wash on wool cycle fine.
