I’m a single mum and have a lot of caring responsibilities. I always try and make sure I get myself something for Christmas too, but I’ve no idea what I want!

Hot me with your ideas. What would you buy for yourself? I have a December birthday too, so want a few treats to spread between the two.

Some new boots, a bag, your favourite skin care, new makeup. Stuff that would put an extra spring in your step and make you feel good.

Watching with interest. My brother has asked me what I want and I just don't know!

Maybe a book subscription box!

I'm a single mum and in 2020 I treated myself to a l'occitane advent calendar! Was so lovely to get a treat every day!! So (even though I'm skint) I saved up for one this year!!!
Have to say my mum abd dad have always been great at taking my dc out to get me something since they were small. Ex didn't give a shit even though I always let dc buy what they wanted to give him.
I also got my DF's wee girl something to give her mum as she didn't get much either.
But if choosing for me I'd get
Nice bubble bath
Download a good book on my kindle
Buy a wine I really like
Fave chocolates

Then enjoy!

Perfume
Nice jewellery
My DDs don’t know but they have bought me a cute little travel jewellery box this year.
One of favourite gifts to myself was a stunning mirror i couldn’t afford, I bought it about 15 years ago. It’s travelled across the world with me and I still love it.

If I was really treating myself I’d probably buy myself a massage.

I am getting a camera (sold my old one so I could upgrade) but in previous years I have bought myself…

Lego
Dr Martens
walking boots
My favourite chocolates
perfume
Lush bubble bar

Lego

I agree with this. There are some lovely sets now that adults can make. Lego isn't just for little kids anymore. It's grown up!

As you have both birthday and Christmas in the same month, I’d treat myself to at least one subscription gift that kept arriving for 6 months or so - there are loads of options, depending on what you like. I’d probably go books, but you could have regular letterbox flowers, or brownies, or art supplies, or chocolate (or gin!), or skincare or whatever floats your boat.

I have a small house and no storage so experience over stuff for me. So, night away in a hotel, gig tickets etc.
