Visiting Santa Claus

Hello all - I took my little girl to visit Santa Claus for the first time at the weekend and was surprised by something - Santa Claus looked as if he had to make sure he put his hands on the photograph and he wasn't allowed to hold my baby I haven't been to see a Santa Claus since approximately 1990 so this is new!

Can I ask if all Santa's have to do this now? Don't get me wrong I don't particularly want her on his knee!

A friend said all Santa's now have to show their hands on camera and can only sit next to baby.

Is this true?

That was my little one meeting santa for the first time last year so it's definitely not all of them 🤷‍♀️ This was at a play area though so maybe it's different? 🤷‍♀️

Last year santa wasn’t allowed to hold my 12 month old . I thought it was a covid thing .
