Eco friendly, sustainable type gift ideas?

I have to buy a gift for a lady in her mid thirties, who is into eco friendly, planet saving, sustainable, fairtrade, small business etc products. I am very clueless where to even begin. The limit is £10, does anybody have any suggestions? Thank you

Etsy would be a great place to start. If you type in eco/fairtrade/sustainable gifts for her you'll have hundreds to pick from and many are small businesses. Taking the opportunity to promote my shop 😁

Bamboo travel mug? I love mine.

This sounds like me but I'm a bit older 😃

Houseplants, voucher for eco shops (can buy online)

Like pp mentioned Etsy is great!

Or something vintage. I just bought my £10 secret santa from a bric a brac shop. Really pretty little jug.

Shampoo bar - ideally palm oil free - Little blue hen are the best. Soap from same. Could get a soap dish.
Reusable coffee cup
Food wraps eg bees wax
Shopping bag
Scarf from recycled materials
Bamboo socks

I quite like the things from here: www.gruum.com/product/secret-santa-soap-set-2022

Sounds a bit like me Grin
Some ideas I'd like/have been thinking i need recently, that your friend might like too:

  • fabric refillable pouch for tissues (so I have clean tissues in my bag without buying the plastic pocket packs)
  • bamboo socks
  • knitted fingerless gloves (craft fairs are a great source)
  • local honey (I get through a lot in the winter with hot lemon for sore throats)
  • local chutneys or jams - really fancy a good chilli jam for cheese...
  • nice bars of soap are always gratefully received

The washable makeup remover pads? And revolution do reusable face masks you can add your own oils etc to.

I’ve just bought this tube end squeezer for my secret Santa plus some fair trade chocolate. We are actually a sustainability team and I picked things I’d be happy to receive.

Local honey is also a lovely idea @AwkwardPaws27

AwkwardPaws27 · 07/12/2022 17:49

@Porridgeislife I'd love one of those tube squeezers! Might have to get one - I'm always cutting open tubes to get the last bits Grin

Possibly a bit late, but Wild refillable deodorant? Currently on offer at Boots

Bamboo hairbrush - they are negatively charged, so don’t cause static or split ends. Only smooth sleek hair!

kennycat · 14/12/2022 22:10

I sound like the person you are giving to and I’d live something that would be used up. So something like shampoo bar, hand soap, beeswax wraps or edible things. I can’t stand owning too many things so ‘stuff’ no matter how eco it was would do my head in. So a lovely bamboo vase I once received was passed in because it was just cluttering up the place!

amidsummernightsdream · 14/12/2022 22:12

I wouldnt do a think but a voucher for local cafe or cinema something like that

BitFedUpTheNoo · 14/12/2022 22:35

Depending on how good friends you are - period pants. Less so - beeswax food wraps
