Has anyone else started yet? I have written a few out this morning. Mainly to people in the USA so they will hopefully get them in time. Plus I thought it might be better to get on it for UK friends as there are postal strikes in the pipeline.

Having said that - I'm doing a lot less cards now that I used to... I do enjoy choosing nice ones though.

I am about to start doing some but will cut back a lot on previous years. I like sending cards but so few people send them these days (at least to me anyway!), plus the cost of a 2nd class stamp too means sending loads of cards gets pricey when it feels like few people appreciate one these days.

I will send to family, and international family and friends, and a couple of friends but that’s it. Feels a bit sad that another tradition bites the dust but got to move with the time eh!

I wrote them last night and will pop in the post tomorrow. See if they get there! We haven't had post for weeks here. Our local Royal Mail office is on strike, think its quite a serious one as workers are on strike pay only and now they've announced 30% redundancies. ☹️

Don't send as many now, lots of people stopped. It's nice to send to old friends and family we never see, but that's about it.

We're making a donation to the pet food bank as my friend is organising a collection. But that's not as a replacement for cards, we just stopped most of them.

I only send one now, I’ve had the same box of cards for years !
I did an experiment last year and waited to receive cards before sending them. I only got one, so that shows I was only getting them because I’d sent them !

List is down quite a bit, but I’ve done nearly all mine - some of the U.K. ones are already posted, with existing stock of 2nd class stamps. But there are quite a few overseas ones, so need to go to the PO for those soon, which is a PITA.

I only have 2 to post which I wrote last night and will take to post tomorrow but I have like 20 more to write as I'm giving them to all my little ones baby/toddler class teachers as well as family and friends as I ordered cards with pictures of him on 😋

I'm not doing them this year. I don't send many, perhaps 15. I get about 6 back.

Now with the rising cost of stamps, it has become a chore.

Up until last year I made all my cards, they never took long - bit of glue, silver pen, cut out felt etc. But no, the tradition has died.

So, WhatsApp it is!

Wrote and posted the ones that need sending yesterday. The hand delivered ones will be done some time this week.

I don’t write that many cards nowadays.

I think a lot of people feel that way. To have to write one back if you receive one (but would prefer not to have to)!?
