These are the best sledges we’ve ever had.
They were in Costco last time we were there but sold out really quickly last year.

Does he have a stomp rocket? My son recently turned eight and we’ve had so much fun with the stomp rocket over the years we’ve got a kind of superior one which goes so high it has a parachute! I can put the link if you like.

hes also got two games: exploding kittens and the sock game. A Roald Dahl book he didn’t have and also the newest ‘storey treehouse’ one. And I usually get him a factual book, not chosen yet but maybe on polar exploration as he is interested. His grandmother got him an ocean creatures jigsaw.

I guess his big present is something called Klask, a tabletop game described as a mix of table football and air hockey. It looks fun!

past hits have been science kits and Gravitrax.

There are some quite good Minecraft books and sets of books out there. Good for building inspiration or tips.

Does he collect the Pokémon cards? They are currently huge with the boys of that age in my DC's class. If so then maybe a tin or other set which has lots of cards plus something else special (I don't really get the whole things but it seems very popular).

Pokémon or Minecraft T-shirts.

If he likes Sylvanian families then that would be an obvious one except that 9-10 might be about the time they start growing out of those kind of toys. Similar with the dinos.

We get our kids to write a list/ letter to Santa so that we know what they want. They don't get everything on the list and they also get other things but it does help a lot in making sure they get something they like.

My 9 year old is into similar things. He loves a Pokémon battle pack tin - I don’t understand it for the cost but they go down well.
he also loves beyblades - last Xmas he got some with an arena.

Idontgiveagriffindamn · 03/12/2022 16:55

Or gravitrax - that went down well for his birthday
