Non plastic present for a 5yo g & 7/8yo b?

I'm on a bit of a budget, last year I made then jackets but they weren't a hit so this year I thought I'd buy something

I'm a bit of an eco geek so don't want to add to gratuitous gifts but something good/useful is fab. All adult presents are experiences.

No books as their dad owns a bookshop which is a shame as its my go to nonplastic child gift

Why not ask for a list? That would give you an idea of what they would like and if you can't bring yourself to buy anything in the list you could get something along that theme.

I gave my nieces and nephews carnivorous plants at that age which they loved!
