She is 40. We don't see each other often, so I'm not familiar at all with things like her perfume etc She has a skin condition so cannot have usual bath smellies etc. I brought her earrings for her bday this year. No ideas if she would wear a scarf.

My price range is £30- £40

Why don't you buy tickets for something that you could do together?

Afternoon tea? Entry to gardens etc?

A rose bush called ‘Lifelong Friend’
A bracelet with her children’s birth stones
Afternoon tea voucher
T2 gift box
Sheepskin slippers
Neom Christmas candle

Why are you buying this 'friend' (that you know nothing about) a present?

I have friends that have moved away and I never get to see her (so I understand that part) but we dont buy each other presents because we never see each other to exchange them.

Even if I did though I could instantly pick a dozen things she would like because she my friend and due to being my friend I know her very well.

Something edible or drinkable?

I've just bought a diffuser from Waitrose it looks posh and smells divine, It's the vanilla and cinnamon one

Agree with something like tickets or a voucher that you could then make plans to do together (unless the reason you don’t see each other often is that she lives several thousand miles away or is house bound etc.)

A lot of “I don’t really know what to buy you” items like nice scarves, expensive candles, trinkets, and so on are, whilst very lovely and generous, what I would ultimately class as tat. Classy, pricey tat; but still just very generic stuff which often ends up unused in a drawer or being regifted to somebody else the recipient also doesn’t know what to buy for.

Will you be able to deliver? If so, cocktail ingredients and printed out recipe(s)

There's always one.
