Christmas Presents for Nursery?

This is DS’s first year in nursery so I have no idea what the etiquette is.

Is it usual to get Christmas cards/presents for the staff? And if so should it be for individuals or a generic card/present for all the staff?

DS only goes 2 days and his key worker only works one of those days, so he’s probably got a stronger bond with some of the other staff members. So it wouldn’t make sense just to get her a card and no-one else. I’m probably over thinking…

A card and a box of treats for all the room staff?

A box of biscuits or tin of chocs will be fine. They can either open and share or what happens at our nursery is they divide them all out so each member of staff takes a few home.
Obviously anything personally addressed to a key worker stays with them but most parents tend to do a present for the room.

Makes sense. I was just think the staff might not want to end up with 20 boxes of biscuits… I suppose they can always take them home and re-gift them 😁

Get them boxes of coffee sachets instead.

It went down an absolute storm at my nursery the first time I did it, repeated it every year afterwards for both children!

We give selection of hand creams and fancy tea. Figure those work if they want to divide gifts up between staff or if they keep them in the nursery.

I did Costa vouchers for everyone in DS' room last year, which seemed to go down fairly well.
