Attaching felt Xmas tree

I've bought one for my 2 year old granddaughter to decorate. She's loving decorating it but the blooming thing keeps falling off the wall. I've tried a plastic hook to attach the ribbon onto and the hook falls off. Tried blue tacking the whole tree and it still falls off. Anyone else had success attaching it to a wall or should I put it on a door instead? Tia

What about hanging on a door with like a wreath hook?

@AlwaysFullOfQuestions22 I think it would hang too high for my granddaughter to reach. Ideally it needs to sit about 3 inches from the bottom of the door.

Door hook, and extra ribbon to lower it.

Maybe try a command hook
