I'm getting my little one a toy kitchen for Christmas but I still haven't managed to decide which one 🙈🙈 I was thinking of getting the IKEA one but it doesn't have knobs and he would enjoy playing with them.
He will be 16 months old 2 days after Christmas but I want it to be big enough to last him for a few years.
I just don't know which of the many options to choose 🙈 The only things I know I want it to have is knobs and to be wooden 🤷‍♀️😅

Can you escape to a toy superstore and view them in person?

The ikea one is hard to beat. How is your DIY? Can you get the ikea and screw a couple of knobs on yourself?

DD has had one from Mulberry bush for years. A nice wooden one. Loves it. Had knobs too.

We had the kidKraft wooden retro kitchen for our daughter and would definitely recommend it - lasted several years without any damage (sold for over half its original price on eBay when she no longer used it)
it was great with cupboards for storage for all the play food, oven, Microwave and phone. it even has clicky dials for the oven/hobs.
She had it from around 18months, one of the best toys we got her as it was used daily.

I have the IKEA one, bought it my son for his 2nd Birthday, he’s now eight and it’s still going strong for his brother. Very study and easy to clean when they ‘cook’ play doh in it! The hob lights up and I inserted a toy microwave inside the microwave cupboard bit at the top. It’s well worth it, I bought my nephew a wooden kitchen which was all singing and all dancing and it’s been a bit rubbish, knobs falling off etc. Have you looked at the ‘pimped’ up ikea kids kitchens?

Hey OP what did you decide on the end? Would love to know, as we are now in the same position at 15 months with a little boy who loves to pretend cook
