Could I make the puff pastry tree the night before?

Planning on making one of the Nutella puff pastry trees for a surprise breakfast for the DC on 1st December Grin I've attached a pic - 2 sheets of puff pastry with Nutella in the middle.

Anyone know if I'd be able to do it the night before and store in the fridge? So I can just pop it in the oven on the morning before school?

Thanks.

Puff pastry tends to go soggy in the fridge. Can you roll it out the night before and then pop in the oven for 15 mins in the morning?

I may have mid-read OP’s post, but I think that is what she plans to do.

Yeah so roll the pastry out, Nutella on the bottom layer, then top with another layer of pastry...

Then was going to refrigerate if I could until the next morning and cook it then.

Of you make it the night before , wet a clean t towel , wring it out and place over entire tree , that way it won't dry out.

I've done exactly as you say and it worked perfectly. Assembled it the day before, onto the baking tray with a bit of cling film over it, then into the oven in the morning to cook.
