Best push along walker?

Hello! Looking to buy my daughter a Walker for Christmas and love the wooden style ones.

Have found some that have an activities board on the front, some with blocks inside and also push along trolley types (for books etc)

Just wondering what others found their LO got the most out of?

My DS ignored the wooden one we had - gave in and the plastic nightmare with more lights and sounds was played with for years!

Thank you! I do worry that the wooden ones are more of an aesthetic and not as fun!

I think it depends on why you're buying one. The plastic activity walkers have more appeal due to lights and sounds but I found the basic wooden trolley style the most stable and therefore best for walking.

We got the classic VTech plastic monstrosity for our DC - secondhand & good condition. Lasted through both our Dc & then sold it on again. Might not be the prettiest, but was bomb-proof & the kids loved the lights & sounds.

We've got one of the wooden ones that came with blocks. It's had fabulous longevity, still regularly getting played with by the three year old as a shopping trolley, bed for cuddly toys, doll pushchair, etc. (and has also withstood her sitting in it plenty of times). The one thing I would say is that I do think it needs the blocks or something else with a bit of weight to it for those first unsteady steps to make it more steady if they lean back.

Hi @karrliz - thanks for posting! Just wanted to point you in the direction of our guide to the best baby walkers according to Mumsnet users in case it's of any use. It includes a wide range of options, both wooden and plastic Smile Hope it's helpful, feel free to let us know if you've any feedback on the page!

Scandiborn ones are beautiful and so worth the money. My three year old still plays with hers
