Shashibo 'magic' cube - good quality?

Hi!

Has anyone got a shashibo/infinity/magic cube? I was about to order an official looking one off Amazon but have been spooked by the complaints on its quality (print peeling off, breaking easily).

This is what I was about to buy:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B07W5QM4DP/ref=cmcrrarpmbbbdcrb_top?ie=UTF8

Anyone have a good quality cube? Or are they just one of those things that are always going to be delicate and wear easily?

It will be a present for a 10-yr-old, who isn't likely to throw it about, but I also don't want it to look cheap.

Thanks in advance.

I’ve bought one as my DC is a “cuber”. Unless you’re buying it as just a novelty cube - quality-wise - good old-fashioned Rubicks or gan are the best.

I've just googled those, thank you - a bit confused by their descriptions, are they also cubes that unfold into different shapes?

They look quite solid and tricky (in a good way), I will keep in mind!

DS got a very similar cube but from Geobender 12 months ago (because last year they were on offer!).
He loves it. I'd say he fiddles with it most days, and it's still going strong. He's 11 now, but can also complete a rubix cube and a hexagonal rubixs cube style thing, so it's very much a relaxation thing rather than a solve it thing in this house.
The rubix ones are more robust, imo, but we haven't destroyed either yet.

No, rubix and Gan cubes stay as cubes, and you twist them to get all the colours in the right place.

Different idea, but much more of a puzzle than the shashibo, which is more of a fidget toy, imo.

@ChristmasCakeAndStilton Ah, thanks!
I think she specifically enjoys anything especially tactile, and I know the shashibo are quite satisfying with the magnets, so I'll try to stick to one of them. Helpful to note down these other cubes, though, I know someone who'd love them.
