What is in your Christmas box?

I've just started my Christmas box for this year. I buy a few bits each week with the food shopping from now up until Christmas and save them up for the two weeks around Christmas/New Year. The fresh things will be delivered on Christmas Eve.

The reason they are not put in the cupboards and kept in a box instead (usually in the garage), is so they will not get eaten beforehand!

Does anyone else do this? What is in your box so far?

So far I have four large sharing bags of different flavoured Christmas crisps, a selection tin on biscuits and some dairy milk miniatures to fill my jars up with.

I’ve never heard of a Christmas box. I preorder meat and just buy the things we want a few days before, usually 22/23 Dec

It’s about what is practical.

The supermarkets and roads around them here are jam packed in the week before Christmas and I prefer to avoid them.

The foil has been bought as the spare and it will be opened in December.

Sadly we all don’t have large kitchens, so yes, at times spares have to be stored in a cupboard elsewhere. Not everyone can buy everything they need in one go for financial, health or time reasons.

So yes, it works for me.

🤣 You’re correct I have a huge kitchen in my eighth bedroom house. We need the space though because in this weather we can’t entertain guests on our yacht. It’s just as well we have four large reception rooms as well as the formal dining room.

I've got the red & white wine, Prosecco and champagne. Posh chocs and Turkish delight.

Everything else is ordered to be delivered on 22nd so I can get anything missed in the next few days. Although I am thinking if I should get the fresh veg on Xmas Eve rather than delivered on 22nd.

Need to track down some red and green jelly - can't find any normal, old fashioned jelly and my dad has to have it, its tradition!

The reason mine is in a separate box is so that I can keep track of what we have and don’t get people —MIL— going “have you got any piccalilli/sherry/stollen/other specific food. We always have piccalilli/sherry/stollen/other specific food. It doesn’t feel like Christmas without it”
Plus my cupboards are full of my normal shopping so no room for a massive pannetone or cake!

I bought a 'chocolate biscuit collection' and a box off 22 packets of crisps from Morrisons today 😋 I bought some treeslets when there was a thread about them on here too as I've never had/heard of them and was curious 🤷‍♀️🤣
