My 6 year old is desperate for a Switch this year. He has done well to be fair, earning points on his chart for his good behaviour and good eating. However they are still so expensive! Has anyone seen any Black Friday deals for the Switch (not the Oled one, just the regular one). Thanks.

We are also looking for one for DD1 like your DS she deserves it but sooo expensive !

I've got one today in Tescos. It was £239 on Clubcard prices down from £259... Every little helps I suppose!

Honestly I’ve never seen them drop hugely in price and I’m not sure they will. We got ours a couple of years ago and expected it to be cheaper as they’d been out for a couple of years but it seems to be something that’s just retained its value. Having said that, we’ve had a lot of enjoyment from it and it’s been totally worth it.

I got a free one with my phone upgrade which isn't costing any more than my last phone.

DS1 is getting one. DS2 got one for his birthday in May and DS1 was offered one for his birthday just after that, but didn't want one. He's since changed his mind.

We were hoping they'd drop, but they didn't. We paid £270 in April for a Switch plus Minecraft and have just paid £290 for the Switch plus MarioKart.

Bit gutted to read about the Clubcard option above. I just won't tell DH.

Most Black Friday deals aren't really deals.

They will simply be a lower price than recently but often will have been at that price shortly before that.

You won't get significant amounts off a Switch but I wholeheartedly agree they are worth it. They have a great easy to use app for parents. Really handy for going in the car etc.

(My 2 DSs shared it as a Santa present a few years ago; last year they shared an xBox. Curse of a thing. It has caused so many problems & I regret having it (not the device's fault, my addicted sons who manage to find ways around all limits, I should say!)

I was hoping for a Black Friday deal on a Switch but couldn’t find one, and in fact found many places are out of stock online of the regular version. I had to get it from Argos click and collect.

The lack of stock was why DH went ahead and bought one a couple of weeks ago. The first two places he tried (one was Curry's, can't remember the other) were out of stock, so he got it from Smyths and had it delivered.

Argos currently have it on at £259 for the MarioKart bundle.

They are worth the money. DD got one for her birthday almost a year ago and has got a lot of enjoyment out of it. I’ve got one too!

I've just bought one for DD from Very, DH signed up for an account and got 20% off so we got the switch with natio kart, 3 months of Nintendo online and Little Friends for £223.18 instead of £278.98. I did have to pay about £4 postage, but I'll accept that for the discount!
