Gravitrax

My son has mentioned he would like some Gravitrax for Christmas. He hasn't got any at the moment and I'm not sure what I need to order so he's got enough to really enjoy it over Christmas. Is a starter set enough and, if so, which one would you recommend? There seem to be lots of different options and I'm finding it all a bit confusing, having never seen it in real life.

Also, is it actually any good? It's quite pricey so honest opinions would be great.

We’ve got the start set. My DC like it, but it isn’t as popular as magna tiles which come out all the time.

It’s also behind hot wheels and the marble run in terms of popularity.

The add ons seem really pricey!

We got ours in the charity shop so I don't know about price but if your bairn likes Lego or puzzles it's kind of the same skills. My wee guy loves it. It's pretty satisfying when you build it correctly. I imagine they'll be brilliant at following IKEA instructions in later life.

Yes, huge Lego fan and also enjoys a jigsaw. I feel he'll like it but it's £££ and don't know anyone who has got it to ask their opinion. Thank you both for your replies!

We bought the starter set and it's fine to begin with. You have to buy the starter there isn't enough to play with in the add ons. Keep an eye on places like The Entertainer and Amazon for the add on kits. Also Amazon might be good for this on Black Friday.
