I'm really struggling for an idea of a gift for my sister. I haven't a clue what to get her and isn't helped by the fact I'm on a budget so ideally £20-25.
Throw some ideas at me please

A handcream gift set or candle from The White Company .
A coffee table book on a subject she loves .
A Lego set ( if she builds them )
Cool beanie hat
A Christmas gonk with a sequinned hat
Fluffy bed socks

Does she have a hobby?

Mid 30's here 👋🏻 and I would love:

Fluffy bed socks
Slippers
Posh candle
Baileys or gin
Books
Comfy pjs
Running stuff

Other ideas:
Jigsaw themed on something she likes

Shops to try for gifts:
Oliver Bonas
White stuff
Fat face

All do lovely accessories/ gifty bits

Ask her? I'm a little bit younger but things I've asked for (to people who have asked!)/or would otherwise like in the price range:

  • Nice shower gels - I like Body Shop, Lush, etc, we are on a budget so I don't buy anything nice like that for myself just cheap ones from supermarkets
  • Same for hand creams, lip balms, tinted lip balms and that kind of thing
  • Pillow sprays
  • A good book
  • Fancy chocs like Hotel Chocolat
  • Practical, affordable clothing items like socks, PJs, plain black leggings, plain cardigans or jumpers

Basically all little things that I like that aren't expensive on their own, but are still luxuries so I wouldn't buy them for myself day to day on our budget. Or just stuff that is always useful.

I’m mid 30, I’d like…

a book & a small box of nice chocs (quality rather than quantity)
rituals bubble bath
box of space masks
a cook book
a really nice bottle of red wine
sweaty Betty socks
neom pillow spray
Dior nail glow
bottle of port
balm cleanser & some new muslin cloths

essentially one nice thing rather than try to make it look ‘more’

Thanks everyone some good ideas there.

She doesn't have a hobby as such and has back skin so generally cream and wash products are a no go for her.
But think I have a few ideas from that you've all said

Silk pillowcases are currently all the rage- I think you can get some in your budget.

bananaboats · 20/11/2022 19:38

I'm that age and things in that budget I'd like would be a white company winter candle, bottle of gin, Charlotte tilbury lipstick. Agree with pp id rather have one 'nice things rather than a few cheap bits.

Expensive shampoo
Make up (eg a lipstick or eyeshadow palette)
Selfridges gift card
A little hair care set you can make up with a tangle teaser brush, large and small claw clip, shampoo set
If she's into cooking then something from the sous chef website or something from le crueset (eg a pair of mugs or one of the small stoneware dishes)
White company candle
Slippers
Fake oodie
Nice pyjamas
Voucher for a beauty place to get a treatment eg nails done
Marks and Spencer bottle of Christmas spirit (this year they seem to be doing fine, rum and whiskey rather than just their usual flavoured gins)
Nice biscuits and tea from fortnum and mason
Wireless earphones (I got a really good pair off Amazon for twenty quid)
Set of the flat bottomed dyrgrip wine glasses from IKEA (they're really on trend and you can get white wine glasses, red wine glasses and champagne flutes that all match)
Subscription to the happy newspaper
Audible book (you can buy a specific book and gift it via email address or can get her a subscription)

Sorry if I've missed where you've said what her interests are as I've not read the full thread so these may be way off base! These are things ive bought for my sister and friends over the last few years

Book token
Personalised cushion
Some nice ideas here 40 gifts under £20

Inasec24 · 21/11/2022 20:55

Rituals car perfume, basically a really posh car air freshener. About £17.
