Magazine or comic for 5 Yr old - Okido? Help!

I have been asked to get a comic or magazine subscription for just gone 5 Yr old. I am struggling, it'sa but young really. I wondered about Okido?
Can anyone help with recommendations please? Thank you.

The Beano! It comes weekly and they usually have an excellent introductory offer for subscriptions. We got the annual subscription for my 7 year old last Christmas and he has asked for it again this year. He literally sits gripped and reads from cover to cover. He loves the comic strips and has also entered the competitions from time to time (email ie free entry). Actually won a pretty cool game on one occasion! Only gripe is that they put the price up mid way through the year, but for us still worth it.

I should have said, sorry, @Extraordinarytimes I have got Beano for their sibling. Glad to hear it's a hit, my recipient for Beano is also 7!

@asimileofsomesmoke I like the look of Phoenix but thought it looked a bit too old?

My children get both The Beano and The Phoenix. I think (unless they have a much older reading age), Phoenix is not suitable for a 5yo - some touger, grittier storylines i.e. "No Country" which was an excellent story about a family forced to flee their home due to political reasons.

Lego Explorer Magazine
You get a Lego Polybag with each issue and the magazine is a mix of Lego-y stuff and articles connected to what ever the Lego set is - for example if the set is of a bird the magazine will be about bird life, if it's a car it will be about vehicles.

Or one of the other Lego magazines...there is about 6 different variations !
