2 year old boy gift ideas

We’ve not long had his birthday so we’re inundated with new toys. DH and I have a few bits for him to open and some little stocking fillers and then will be adding some money to his savings. He really doesn’t need anything.

Family want to get actual physical gifts but all want ideas 😬 What did your little one love at 2? Preferably stuff that can be played with for a while and isn’t going to be outgrown by the spring 😅

Books? Some nice ones that he can grow into?
some fun bath stuff/ pjs with fav stuff on?
day out??

My 2 year old is getting schleich play sets this year. He’s had the animals gradually since he was 7/8 months his first Christmas. Good gifts imo as someone can buy a figure from about £3 up to £20-50 for larger play sets. So suitable for all budgets. And can get the more detailed smaller bits as they get older

A rocket/space-themed play tent with lights and cushions for his room
Bath toys
Balance bike
Orchard Toys floor puzzles, especially the giant road
Role play toys like the Melissa and Doug pizza, fireman outfit or ice cream stand
Sand pit and lots of toys for it

@Cantchooseaname If you could see our book collection 😅 big big book fans in this house. Day out is actually a great idea. We have a farm park type place but too far from us that he loves. I might see if the GPs want to club together and get him a season ticket. Would get much more use out of that than the toys that they would both buy him just for the sake of it and they all enjoy coming there with us too 👍🏻

@Caspianberg I’ll have a wee look at the play sets! Thanks 😊 we’ve got a collection of the animals that he loves so adding to that could be a good idea. And great point about the wide price range too 😊

@Fivemoreminutes1 He has some variation of all of this 🙈 apart from the role play things but DH and I have got him a couple of the Melissa & Doug sets for Christmas this year as he’s just recently really into role playing 😊
