Crochet and sewing machine

Hi, my 11 year old daughter would like to learn crochet and sewing , any recommendations for crochet starter kits and sewing machines please? All ideas welcome!

Two very different hobbies.
For crochet I would get a couple of hooks , size 4 and 5. I like the ones with platic handles. Any kind of double knitting wool is good for beginners so choose a couple of pretty colours. The best way to learn IMO is not from a book but YouTube. Lots on there but try BelloCoco crochet for beginners.

A sewing machine is a bigger investment. Mine is a basic John Lewis one and they come in bright colours. Perhaps try an embroidery kit to start with?
