What to get a teacher for Christmas

Just that really, there's 3 of them at my daughter's preschool and they really are a life saver and I don't know how they do it! Would you get them something at Christmas and last term in summer or just one? I was wondering about making them a cake. Any teachers out there that can tell me what's the best gift theyve received? thanks😁

@Fieldfly Nope, doesn't matter. It's a gift to a charity, yes and is a nice gesture as most teachers get inundated with candles/chocolates/wine. It's just something that thinks about others whilst showing appreciation (usually comes with a little card to write a message in) Agree to disagree on this one! The charities market it as a gift but it isn’t really. You are making a charity donation - great. But it isn’t a thank you to a teacher.

As others on this thread a small personal thank you, card especially, are very appreciated. I would be 🤨 about a charity gift, even if one based around education. That isn’t a thank you.

I never understood this bizarre practice. It’s their job and they get paid to do it.

I actually know a teacher who is quite embarrassed by this and repeatedly tells anybody who’ll listen that a Christmas card is OK. The rest goes straight to the local charity shop.

Nothing. A card will suffice. Teachers do not expect anything. I would rather they spent it on their children.
