Gingerbread house Kit

Can anyone please recommend a decent pre baked gingerbread house Kit that would keep kids entertained with minimal assistance?

M&S do a good one that's £5. The best ones have a plastic stand/tray thing with them that the walls slot into so you don't have to prop them up with bean tins while the icing dries 😅

I got one from Tiger it looks easy enough and was pretty inexpensive.

I got ours from Aldi for £5.50. It’s already pre-assembled so you just need to decorate it. Although the sweets etc that come with it isn’t enough so would say to get extra

We've done the Lidl one for years now and it's easy enough. I use Dr Oetker's edible glue rather than the icing it comes with though. The glue dries fast. We add extra sweets and I've bought icing pens too for added colour this year.

@VioletCreams when did you get the kit? Was it recently?

I got a decorate your own gingerbread reindeer kit from B&M this year. the house is too big and I hate waste. Plus I think easier to construct?

I get mine from B&M bargains. £2 each. They’re quite small but keep us all occupied for an hour or so. I buy extra sweets and use Dr Oetker baking glue. They look pretty good when done. We did six last year, made a cute little gingerbread village. 😀

We like the IKEA one, a big house and a few mini houses = a village. Love it!

@Puddywoodycat i just got it last week so there should be enough left for now. I got it at the section where they have the Christmas chocolates, etc in our branch. It comes in a red box with a handle.

@Puddywoodycat yes just last week 😊. I’m sure they will still have plenty left. I bought this last year as well but there just wasn’t enough sweets to decorate with. Also never ate it as I left it out and it went stale so not sure on its taste 🤣.
