Cuddly toys

Emmmmz9 · 14/11/2022 14:59

It’s become a tradition that my daughters are given a small cuddly toy each year (aged 14 & 12).
Aware of the usual bands eg Jellycat but looking for something more unusual and quirky.
Anybody bought or seen any please?

My children are mad for squishmallows. They love them. They are nice and soft too

Hesma · 14/11/2022 16:24

Crochet amigurumi animals (I usually buy from Etsy). This year I've bought a snail, a triceratops and a frog.

My 12 year old likes Pusheen the cat, you get plushes of him in Claires accessories.

teachermummyme · 14/11/2022 18:59

I know you're aware of Jellycat, but did you know they do really unusual soft toys, not just your usual animals? I was searching for Jellycat toys on Amazon and was surprised to see they do all manner of strange and unusual ones, including loads of food items, like a croissant, ice cream and cauliflower! Might be something unusual there for your kids.

I have had animals made for my daughters this year. They are crochet ones custom made. Unfortunately the seller I use is full now for Christmas orders.

Etsy is a good place to look though for customised ones!

Google soft toy microbes... you can get all sorts of organisms.

SecondaryPreparation · 14/11/2022 19:30

Giant microbes
I've ordered from this German shop before, but it was before brexit: here

The ones from Kenji are really cute! My DDs love these.

Sigikid Beasts are fabulous. I sell them in my shop, but I'm not sure whether a shameless plug is permissible on MN?

Emmmmz9 · 15/11/2022 05:32

Oh wow! Thank you everybody

They're fantastic! I've already got DD a cuddly for Christmas but she may need more than one this year now...... And/or I might drop a less than subtle hint to DH that I need one!

mam0918 · 15/11/2022 10:56

Fugglers are very popular.

teddyclown · 15/11/2022 11:03

There are new Beasts coming soon, but I need to clear some space first, hence a few sales on various things going on Smile
