I'll be having my first mug of mulled wine this evening! We might even squeeze in our first Christmas film of the year this week.
Anyone else feeling festive?

Yes. I found a voucher for £20 for Fortnum and Mason from last Christmas. DSIL gave it me for some fancy teabags that were never in stock. Spent it a couple of days ago on a Christmas cake. It arrived and is tiny, 4 inches 😂I felt so disappointed but actually it's quite cute. More of a decoration but I'm officially of the mark, have ordered a few gifts too.

Oh dear! I'm sure it will taste delicious.

I am trying to position my foster child who thinks Christmas is all about Santa and gifts. Em, not in our house.

It's November 🤦🏻‍♀️. Come the first of December I am all about Christmas, but it's getting silly. I have an acquaintance who has already put all THREE of her 'inside' trees up and 'the outside tree' is apparently being delivered this week. Fucks sake.

Now that Remembrance Sunday is about finished, Christmas can start for me, although gently. Too early for decorations for us, but I will start watching the odd Christmas film (otherwise will run out of time to watch the ones I would like to view). I will pick up a festive book. Start wrapping presents and sort out the small number of cards I send. Things will ramp up a little at the beginning of December, but it will not be until mid December that I fully embrace the season.

Why does it matter to you?
I personally prefer to put my decorations up in December but am really enjoying starting the festive feeling on this dark Sunday night. Who does it hurt, really?

Absolutely the same! Although I go all in on 1st December. From now until then it's that's lovely in between period when I start putting the odd film on and lighting Christmassy smelling candles. Love it!

You are aware christmas starts in November this year right?

'Christmas' is 27th November (Advent) to 6th January (Epiphany), no point getting mad at a fact thats existed for centuaries.

We will be having our fourth mince pie of the season tonight, and the tree is up, not unfurled or decorated yet.
I'm not bothered if it offends anyone, I have a new job and won't have time or headspace to do it later on in the year..
I do fancy getting the hot chocolate started now the evenings are getting chilly!
