Reed diffuser for teenage boy

Anyone have any suggestions for a reed diffuser for a teen male?
Nothing to sickly or sweet. But also doesn't have to stink like a bottle of brut has been dumped in the room.

I do open the windows every day-as soon as he is out of his pit! But something to lighten the boy stench!

What about a fresh cotton/laundry smell? Tk Max have loads in at the moment, so I'd see what they have in there.

Honestly, it's a bad idea. All you'll get is a mix of boy deodorant smell and chemical air freshner smell. It wont cover up the smell or make it any better. You'll have a cloying mixture of scents.

Just open the window more often.

Prices do one called 'open window' that is nice. You can get it in Sainsbury’s/Waitrose

Does he want one? Or do you?
If he wants it, get him to suggest scents. If you want it, fabreeze something and open windows.

I agree with PP, any kind of laundry scent would be nice, I also find sandlewood ones to be lovely along with patchouli. I only tend to like fresh scents. Rather than a reed diffuser would something like the glade/airwick freshmatic things work?

Don't make him breathe in chemicals all day! open the window and let the air blow through from another open window if poss.

I pick ones in a "clean cotton" sort of scent and ds hasn't complained.

I love diffusers and candles but tbh I'd never have one in a bedroom as I just don't think it's healthy or relaxing to be breathing all night.

I’ve never found a reed diffuser that is any good in a room any bigger than the tiny room that just holds a toilet.
I would just stick with opening windows every day.

Happyelfjokeday · 13/11/2022 18:19

Next do nice ones, a few in darker bottles that might be ok for a teenage boys room!

Ohuhu · 13/11/2022 20:36

If you're just buying it because you think his room smells, it's a pretty mean present.

I agree

Not a reed diffuser something sort of similar. Volcanic lava stones in a container I think look quite masculine, used with a drop of very high quality aroma oil blends, all natural. The big rocks designed for room fragrance are quite pricey so I bought loose smaller beads designed for jewellery and put in a container to stop the oil blend from staining the furniture.

I used to just hide neutradol at various points around ds's bedroom.

Does he actually want one? If it's just that he has a smelly room, I'd probably talk to him about opening the window, doing laundry regularly etc- don't make it a present.

If he does want one, Jo Malone pine and eucalyptus is nice and not too sweet.
