Celeb neighbour has put up amazing lights

I live very close to a famous celebrity and she has had the most amazing lights put up today ! They are fabulous and she told my husband this evening that they make her happy ..good for her ! Anyone else going to have their last hoorah this year ?

Will be keeping an eye out for announcements of celebrity deaths and seeing if I can find evidence of their early Christmas lights.

I met a celebrity once. It was at a summer bbq so, sadly, I have no idea what their Christmas lights were like.

I always thought (according to MN) that a last hoorah was when you were perimenopausal & your ovaries go haywire, so you want to shag anyone & anything senseless because your hormones want you pregnant?

Talking of celeb's Anne Robinson's daughter used to live in my home village. She didn't put any Christmas lights up just new snatch (cottage renovations)

@theyarereallytakingthepissnow the poster has never been explained. The shop is a bit dodgy so not the place I'd imagine either of the Nigel's frequenting. Nige the dentist in particular seems too sophisticated.

I queued for almost an hour so my best friend could talk to The Cheeky Girls once. Then someone was mean to them so they walked out before we got anywhere near. My friend was fuming and sulked for the rest of the evening. That's as close as I've got to a celebrity.

I always thought they were Spanish but they are Romanian so I can add that to my "things I learned from this thread" list.

If we are doing celeb boasts i played cards with emily blunt a few times.

Have met a few famous people (jay kay, rowan atkinson, jeremy clarkson, stirling moss, jenson button, h from steps, Patricia routledge, vanessa redgrave, patrick stewart... think that was it)

I used to work in the green room at chichester festival theatre and also waitressed at lord march's parties for festival of speed and goodwood revival. Emily blunt was juliet in romeo and juliet and between the matinee and evening show we played cards a couple of times as she was bored and i was a crap employee)

I despair at this page lately. I’m sure the lights look lovely. I am dying to put mine up, I am not a massive Christmas fan, but I love the twinkly lights brightening the house up. Though this year they are going on an hour less!

I haven't got a famous neighbour. However I have had an infamous one. Don't suppose for one second that he's got access to Christmas lights as he's residing in one of HM hotels but would be delighted to hear that he's having a last hoorah .- good riddance . . . .

You’ll have noticed my Santa illuminations are having a year off - but fear not, I’m still celebrating with a different kind of Christmas twinkle!! Mum’s given me the name of her favourite Harley Street surgeon so that I can get my cosy “cottage” renovated, if you know what I mean!! Lol!! Not getting any younger, so gotta make the most of my last hormonal hoorah. Rocking Rudolph and his sparkling sleigh will be back after the energy crisis.
