Go to your local theatre!

I realise not everyone can afford it this Christmas - but for those who can, can I plead that you go to your local theatre this Christmas?
Many are devastated after covid, and recent arts council cuts.
If you want them to survive they need your support!
If you're not into pantos, there are plenty of alternatives.
What have you booked to see in your local area?

Booked to take DD to her first Panto in December. It's where I used to go as a child. The theatre nearly closed down this year so I know they need the support. It cost less than £40 for both of us.

Tickets for our local panto are £14 each for adults. DH and I are going on Christmas eve, DD is dancing in it.

The productions I was going to see this year were all cancelled. I’ve been to a couple of local amdram shows and we are going to London to see Newsies.

Bumping this thread to support all the local theatres just in case there are tickets still to be booked.
We went to see a lovely play called The Christmas Switch. All of the children in the room seemed to love it and DH and I enjoyed it too. Tickets cost £11 per person.

My local one sells itself on Google with the phrase "Multipurpose stage for burlesque and ballet, cinema and stand-up, panto and visiting psychics", and upcoming attractions include such joys as "Gareth Gates does Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons", "All-Star Super Slam Wrestling", and an Encanto singalong. So no. Especially not at £30–£40 a head. I'd rather clean hot sick off electric eels.
