Christmas play help!

I have been drafted in by the PTA and teachers to come up with a short, funny play about Father Christmas that the local Am Dram society can perform to a class.

I'm about as festive and creative as a pumpkin, so... wise ones of Mumsnet... help a girl out.

It must include Father Christmas, one elf and can have two other characters.
Ten minutes long
Might be fun to involve the children watching (about 15 each time)
Each child gets a present at the end, which can be factored into the play.

My initial thoughts was something along the lines of Santa losing his list and handing out the presents to the children. But that's as far as I have got. Or Santa and his elf land at a school but don't know which one, can they help him out?

God I'm so shit at this. Help. Please.

Santa is grumpy because he's working hard in the run up to Xmas and loses the list. The elf is trying to help but Santa waves the elf away. Then Mrs Clause has a chat with Santa about the true meaning of Christmas and Santa apologises to the elf. The elf then finds the list and helps Santa deliver the first gift of the year to someone. The ending being 'the true meaning of Christmas is those who love you and the people you love'.

Also, shows that the women are the true masters of Xmas and the 'helpers' are just as important as the main man!

you could add some audience interaction pantomine style.

so lost list visible on floor and ask audience where it is and look in the wrong places, lots of audience shouting There! There! or It's bhind you! Then Elf walks past and picks it up and walks off (behind santa's back)

Add an Oh yes he is and Oh no he isn't somewhere.
