I'm not so fussed this year.

I won't be doing the elf.

Going to Markets.

Buying lots of chocolate / snacks they just get left.

Getting lots of novelty crap from bnm. I spent £200 on sweets, choc, chocolate stirrers, marshmallow sets etc which weren't eaten I can't afford it this year anyway.

I'm not altering any plans for anyone else. You can fit in with what the rest of us are doing or not bother coming.

Have cut down present list - adults getting less
(pre-agreed with them)
Spread the cost (since September)
No M&S food order just our usual shop with a few extras
Hand-made gifts for several people

But we are doing more of
Local (free) events
Time and downtime at home after a big year
Time with family :)

Made lots of changes this year.

Have bought the same amount of presents/ spent the same as I always do on my 2 kids BUT it's just them that I am buying for. No gifts for friends, partner or family.

Me and my partner decided to have a day out together just the 2 of us for Xmas, cinema, bowling and a meal. Really looking forward to it.

I've bought a new tree and Decorations and given away my old one which has been kicking about for 10+ years. But we decided no Xmas eve boxes, no elf on the shelf etc.

Xmas lunch will be roast chicken, pigs in blankets and all the trimmings. Lots of treats for the kids.

Looking forward to a much simpler Xmas 😊
