Ideas for 7 year old

ChocolatRaisinz · 06/11/2022 07:05

Someone has asked for some ideas for my 7 year old, £5-10 budget. Everything in that budget I had on my list for her I've already bought.

So far I have thought of 1 book and need maybe 2 more ideas to send.
She enjoys art but already has pencils, watercolour pencils, paints, oil pastels, soft chalks.... anything she's missing? I am getting her some craft things as is 1 aet of grandparents but please suggest any craft things that may not be on the list/ not thought of!
She likes sylvanian families the figures are thr main thing she likes but after quick look on Amazon couldn't see any under £10 on amazon, theye seem to be £11+. But if anyone knows of particular things I can search for in budget?

Doesn't need any bath stuff/ bath bombs. Got lots of lego and already receiving more.

Or anything else your 7 year olds really like for under £10?

Small science set
paint your own moneybox (hobbycraft ones are good!)

Tinytortilla · 06/11/2022 07:21

Uno? My 6 year old is obsessed!

LemonDrizzles · 06/11/2022 07:25

Really nice art notebooks with perforated paper
Travel easel (hobbycraft do an inexpensive one)
Let her research and choose an expensive paint brush, but just one. I think just one can be around£7

doodlejump1980 · 06/11/2022 07:26

Hama beads?

BadgerLovesMash · 06/11/2022 07:29

Have you seen the harumika sets? There's some on bargain max for around £6 a set. Free delivery over £9.99. They are fashion designing that you can do over and over again. No sewing involved. My dd is 10 and has enjoyed them for the last few years.

Fuse beads set? I'm sure I paid under £10 for a starter set off amazon. They are like hama beads but cheaper!

Games? We like dobble, jenga, OK play, no more llamas. All can be found under £10 when on offer.

My dd liked a riddles book, would you rather book and joke book in her stocking so one of those might be good?

DD enjoyed a deck of cards with a book on how to do card tricks and one of how to play different card games.

Clothes or bags? My dd loves a glitzy bag or top with her favourite character on. Or her favourite thing would be a box/make up bag of hair Clips, pretty bobbles and scrunchies. Can get a lot on shein or from primark for £10!

More books! Bookmarks (can get some cute magnetic ones), sewing kit, string art kit, clothes for the Sylvanian toys, nice paper, blank canvases, something to put the art supplies in, a travel art case. How to draw xxx book

My 7yo loves 'top model' books but I find them a bit old. I've recently found 'make it real' books which are similar but a little less sexualised (not hugely but better)

mac1974 · 06/11/2022 09:19

@BadgerLovesMash thank you for the Harumika set idea. I've never seen them before but perfect for my niece who adores fashion (she's 8) also going to grab one for my 8yo DD and her best friend for her birthday coming up. Think this might be my go to for that age range. They look great.

ITSSSSCHRISTMASSS · 06/11/2022 13:09

I would just say put £5 in a card rather than think of more things she dosnt need. She can them save to buy something she really wants after Christmas.

Board games?

5 second rule junior
uno

Little People Big Dreams are lovely books and my 7yr old loves them

An annual for a particular interest she has

Clothing? PJ’s, hat/scarf/gloves

ChocolatRaisinz · 06/11/2022 14:00

Thank you everyone!
We have so many board games (which she loves!). Unfortunately cash is a no go. The present will be 'from' her friend who would take joy in giving her a physical present... (I wasn't really expecting us to exchange gifts until they texted asking what she'd like and how X has already picked out the wrapping paper. 🙈 At least we're texting to make sure it's something they'd actually like 😬).
I have suggested a particular book or a small Science kit and asked for some ideas back!

Amazon voucher, can then save them up and use them when there's something they want to buy.
