Can someone help inspire me to get something for my very hard to buy for father please? Fussy about... Everything. Loves gadgets but has most things. Difficult about clothes, pointless getting him a book as he doesn't read much, same with music he just uses Spotify. Quite likes cooking. He's mid fifties if that helps.

Any/ all inspiration appreciated, sick of buying bloody whiskey every year.

I make up my own ‘hamper’ with mulled wine, fancy crisps and dips, stollen, jars of olives etc.

Ah I like that actually a few years ago we made a hamper for my parents and my dad really appreciated it so I'll make one for him I think thank you.

I hear you because I have the same issue with my DF and my DH. But...they aren't sick of receiving it. They ask for it every year. And every birthday. And every Father's Day. My DH's dream is to have a shelf full of different kinds of whiskies for different occasions. He - and my DF - would be so disappointed not to get the thing they really look forward to receiving! Would your DF feel like that? If yes then don't deny him his whisky!!

I'm also getting my DF and Spicery legend box. I bought one for my husband last Christmas and it's was such a big hit I've bought him another one this year and got my Dad one too.

Any cook books he might like? Or maybe some nice leather gloves?

I actually think that you have a point. I'll get him the whiskey, I like the look of the Spicery kit too he loves making curries and spends a lot of his weekend cooking. Thanks all!
