Cinnamon buns

I want cinnamon buns for Christmas morning breakfast. Any recommendations for supermarket buns or buns by post? Alternatively anyone got a tried and tested recipe that can be made and frozen in advance and reheated? Many thanks

I can get Cinnabons in my local Asda - they're so good, especially warmed up.

I'm usually ahead of the curve on all matters food. I cannot believe I missed it!

I've used the recipe from the Tasty app. They have lots of recommendations on how to make them and a video too. All done in American measurements but I have made them and they are amazing!

We do Overnight Cinnamon Rolls for xmas morning.
I prefer the jusrol ones, but the kids ask for these. I'm sure you could do the dough in a bread maker tho.

I've made these before and had no complaints. It says you can freeze them - I didn't so can't speak to that. I'd probably do a test run just to check. Nothing to do with my love of cinnamon buns

I think this thread has two types of people: those who are happy The Jus Rol ones and those who have tasted actual real Scandi cinnamon buns. Thinking of Bageriet in Covent Garden.

JusRol are OK if you can't be arsed making them fromn scratch. Making them from scratch is ace but a bloody faff.

I've tried the Ikea ones and a box of Cinnamon Bun Kit from Costco .
Both too bread-ey

Jus-Roll are nice but more of a flakey pastry than a bun.

I've used my breadmaker to do a sweet dough, let it rise to double the size then shape, with the sugar/cinnamon/butter ,filling , slow rise and bake , then icing .

Delicious , might make some for Christmas Eve breakfast . Pecans would be a good addition.

I like the frozen ones from IKEA. They bake well and make the house smell wonderful
