Bath bombs - not Lush!

Roundaboot · 31/10/2022 20:06

Teenage neice has requested bath bombs for Christmas. I won't use Lush and would rather support a small business if possible.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Gift sets, or just big fancy bath bombs with wow factor would be ideal!

The Yorkshire soap company is very good.

Sorry, posted too soon! Maybe not quite the wow factor of Lush, but their shops are beautiful, and the staff leave you alone 😄

SpookyMcGhoul · 31/10/2022 20:15

I know it's always suggested - have you looked on Etsy? There's tonnes of cute small companies making bath bombs on there 😊

CoffeeChocolateWine · 31/10/2022 21:01

I've used Mrs Snowballs a few times and the bath bombs are lovely and definitely have the wow factor too.

Inasec24 · 04/11/2022 06:34

There's a small company called Imperial Candles who do bath bombs that contain a piece of jewellery.

BakewellGin1 · 04/11/2022 13:11

There is a small business local to us worth a look. It's a mother and daughter team.

Bodybuddiesgifts on etsy
i know the family who run it and the bath bombs are amazing
I love the fairy drops scent

Roundaboot · 04/11/2022 14:34

Thanks for the suggestions! I had thought of Etsy but it's difficult to know what's good without personal recommendations.

I'm off for a proper browse - sadly Yorkshire is too far for me to browse in person but their products do look amazing! The gift boxes were just the kind of thing I was after

The Yorkshire Soap Company is one of my favorite shops! It is so beautiful and their products are amazing

Mint Bath and Body is one I've used , their Christmas range has just landed and they do gift boxes. Pretty Suds and Ascent Bath and Body are also ones I've used too. Give them a Google or they are all on Instagram if you do social media.

Hope you find something 😊

Soap for little suds

AbsolutelyNebulous · 05/11/2022 11:34

I second Bomb cosmetics. Much more affordable than Lush and cruelty free. I’ve bought DD 13 a set from there for the last 3 years and at this stage she’d be disappointed not to have one at Christmas Grin.

GlitteryFarts · 05/11/2022 12:31

Bomb cosmetics are very pretty gift sets and smell nice until you add them to your bath, I then find them quite disappointing and nowhere near as scented or fizzy as/foamy as the lush ones. But their bars of soap are lovely.

Floralnomad · 05/11/2022 12:32

The Bomb Cosmetic ones linked to above are very nice .

APurpleSquirrel · 05/11/2022 12:35

The Dartmoor Soap Company do bath bombs & make your own bath bomb kits too.

pasinphoebe · 05/11/2022 13:02

Usually use Mrs Snowballs bubble boutique every christmas. def a small business - i have a feeling the lady is a nurse. Great choice and they are fab bath bombs. find her on facebook or insta.

IggyAce · 05/11/2022 14:19

Mrs snowballs bubble boutique.
Bomb cosmetics and Yorkshire soap company all do lovely bath bombs.

knittingaddict · 05/11/2022 14:26

I would love to know too.

My last experience in Lush was horrendous and I swore I would never buy from them again, despite having them as a present every year. Three times a shop assistant tried to engage me in conversation and I didn't have more than 30 seconds of space to look and buy. I was with my grandchildren and they kept pointing out the Halloween section in an obvious attempt to upsell. Then the sales assistant tried to squash the bombs into a too small tin and gaslight me that they fitted just fine. 😡

Then there's the chest binders of course.

Floralnomad · 07/12/2022 11:41

Off the back of this thread I ordered from Mrs snowballs bubble boutique and I’ve now been waiting over 1 month for my items , have had little or no communication and frankly would not recommend anyone buying from this business . On the website it says 14 days for dispatch which is fair enough but to not answer emails etc when people have been waiting for goods in excess of 30 days is not good practice .

Andthenshetripped · 07/12/2022 13:10

Tales of toria. Any fan of stranger things, scream and other horror films will be a fan as well. They do all different types but those are deffo my favourite’s

ThatshallotBaby · 07/12/2022 13:14
