Those of you with kids away at uni, what do you do/ how do you prepare, to ensure that their homecoming is really lovely?

If any of you are going hone for Christmas, what are you most lookingvforward to?

When DD came home for Xmas in her first year at Uni we saved the decorating of the tree for her and DS to do when she got back as they've always decorated it together .

It was lovely watching them having fun and messing about, chatting, drinking a Baileys whilst decorating it. It was a lovely start to the Xmas holidays.

Clean and tidy bedrooms, Christmas tree up and house decorated, yummy foods stocked, wrapping supplies available and trip planned for shopping so they can easily do their Christmas shopping for their siblings, everyone knows who is arriving home and when so they can get excited for siblings coming home.

I also pre cook and freeze a load of dinners so that I can spend extra time hanging out with them and not having a heart attack about how much food I have to cook (because they eat enough for an army) in comparison to the weeks before
