Lava lamps

Anybody bought recently or can recommend good ones please?

Watching with interest as was thinking of getting one for someone...

We have this one from Dunelm, it doesn't take forever to start moving around and doesn't get too hot

Mathmos, still the best.

I have a Mathmos, the DC's bought me it for Christmas last year. It's lovely, very relaxing, almost hypnotic!

DD has that one as well. It's decent for a teen but as an adult I wouldn't like it very much.

Mathmos here too.

When I was looking a few years back the cheaper ones, home bargains, wilko etc had reviews of them shattering. Mathmos are expensive but brilliantly made plus you can get replacements for all of the parts so will be useable forever (or until the company sinks).

I bought Mathmos fromm John Lewis for Xmas gifts last year and they are ace.

We bought DD one from Argos a few years ago. It takes a while to warm up but she’s happy enough with it. Only cost £20ish.
